Bring your art or do some art while at our meeting, there will be some art supplies available. This is a potluck-style meet-up, bring some food to share as well.
How do we as artists minister to the community around us?
When meditating on this issue, I felt that God was saying that our art is a pathway to discussion. Though we may be absent physically the Holy Spirit persists in speaking to people through images. If our imaginations' are sanctified (separated for the use of God), then we will continually produce art that is in sync with what God is doing. Each piece should testify to his design. God's design showcases passion for all of His creation, even that which rebels against Him.
When people ask about our art we should not only be able to tell them how we made, but the Spirit behind it. We don't need to be hidden with our faith, but rather be ready to answer on all occasions.
