November 2013 News: How Do We Live a Life of Thanksgiving?

Early on when God was setting up his proclamation of a risen Messiah, He set forth a tradition of Thanksgiving.

I am grateful that in America, Thanksgiving is also an enduring tradition.

In the month of November every year we get ringing reminders that we did not earn everything on our own. Rather someone provided a way for our abundance to come into fruition.

We will be drawing and painting and photographing and sculpting, etc... a cornucopia of our  own making. Bring in a fruit or vegetable and we will set up a still life.

November is a short month for Visual Sanctuary and the last month we will meet in the year. We will reconvene on Saturday February 1, 3:30-5:30 pm and continue to meet the first Saturdays of each month throughout the year.

7-9:30 pm Mondays, November 4, 11, and 18:  We will open the night with introductions, prayer, a discussion, and sharing our art. During our open studio time you may participate in our November activity or use the time to work on your own project.*
7-9:30 pm Monday, November 18: Turkey Chili and potluck. Bring your art to work on and/or share and a side, drink, or dessert.

All Day, Thursday November 28, Thanksgiving: Celebrate the holiday with your family and friends.
