Howdy Pardners!
In August, we're goin' ta wrassle up some cowpokes and head down to the range. We have officially innaugurated this little game: Westward Sonrise--Trail of Triumph.
We need your help to finish this game in August. We need painters, sketchers, designers, photographers, writers, sculptors, crafters, and all sorts of creative types.
This month its all fun and games, plus some additional substance for the heart. We want to learn to love our international neighbors a little more. Sure we see our neighbors at work and next door, but we do not see our brothers and sisters around the world that often. It merits the questions Jesus asked: Who is your neighbor? Once again a reminder that following Jesus is neither strictly solitary nor is it for the faint of heart.
7-9:30 pm Monday August 5: Koraljka de Carina will be our visiting artist. She will share a 30 minute presentation about her ministry through Fokus (Campus Crusade for Christ) in Croatia and how God is using the arts and her artistic talents. Come equipped with questions. You will not want to miss this!
The remaining time will be spent on open studio time as before. You can join in the game building, work on your own art, or build relationships.
7-9:30 pm Mondays, August 5, 12, 19, and 26: We will open the night with introductions, prayer, a discussion, and sharing our art. During our open studio time you may participate in our August activity or use the time to work on your own project.*
5-9 pm Tuesday, August 6 and 20: Art Night at Cafe International. Bring your drawing and/or painting supplies to create from an international still life or from your own source. Alex Ferree will be doing live painting as well. Click here for more information: Art Night.
Noon-9 pm Saturday, August 10: Rock the Ville: Alex Ferree and a host of other artists will be doing chalk art on the pavement in Westerville, OH. Click here for more details: Rock The Ville.
